Filament printing (FDM)
The printer heats a thermoplastic filament and deposits it in a programmed path to build parts layer by layer. Each layer fuses to the previous one as the material cools, producing a solid geometry from a digital CAD model.
- Stronger, more durable prints
- Larger prints with infill
- Cheaper than Resin
PLA
The most basic 3d printing material. Fine print quality, cheap and biodegradable..
PETG
Higher stress and heat resistance.
TPU
Flexible rubber-like material.
Resin printing (DLP)
Resin 3D printing uses liquid resin that hardens when exposed to ultraviolet (UV) light, allowing for the creation of highly detailed and smooth objects.
- Faster print speeds
- Smaller - more detailed prints
- Hollow objects preferred
Standard
High detail and stable material. A general all-rounder. May be brittle if too thin.
Clear
High Clarity material with added flexibility compared to the Standard resin. Requires post-processing for depicted results.
